The new boutique will certainly attract the attention of luxury customers. Upon entering the space, guests will pass through dark gray and white-veined Italian Flor di Bosco marble floors and under an impressively high ceiling adorned with cascading white magnolia leaves in Murano Glass by Venini which seems to hover just above the glass display cases. The magnolia leaf motif, Scheufele's idea, also extends to four openings on the walls, which are executed in four colors to represent the four seasons. The decorative element is meant to be a nod to the magnolias in nearby Central Park. (The walls will also be a canvas for rotating exhibitions of contemporary art.) Brass details echo the decor of the arches at the building's entrance while royal purple velvet armchairs match the crystal objects in the interior.
